Whispering was written back in 1920. It is an old standard that lends itself perfectly to a multiple guitar and vocal presentation. Our instrumental introductions toggle left and right, and our guitar runs sweep back and forth across the stereo spectrum as Laurie sings in three-part harmony. Her background vocals provide a smooth foundation, along with an underlying guitar melody and viola counterpoint, to support the very prominent and syncopated lead guitars. Dual bass tracks provide a punctuated underpinning for the entire work.
